Added a login so users can register with the site.

Added a user menu, visible only to registered users, who can then:

• Edit preferences
• Submit a web link
• Submit info (via regular email at the moment)

OK, not very exciting I admit, but baby steps, nice safe baby steps! Give me time to think of some excitement to add for the effort of logging in, we will get there!

The intent eventually is to allow people to submit articles via the website, but I have a few reservations about that. One problem is that I have disabled all the WYSIWYG editing on this site, so users would have to be familiar with html. : < (

Secondly, allowing them access to the image directories is problematic for all sorts of reasons. I am probably going to end running with a commenting system, with user avatars enabled, as you see on many forums these days, and which runs parallel to the main site.

In the meantime it's quite easy to use the contact links and email me info and images. I edit and compress the images anyway, plus there is the new gallery software to deal with... The old way still works fine for now.
